Beautiful Insitu Terrazzo Restoration

The Client purchased the property with the intent of changing the black and cream floor to the hallway to something more in keeping with the age of the property. It was evident a hard floor of some type was underneath.

The vinyl tiles were removed to reveal a traditional insitu terrazzo floor typically laid during the 1930’s.The Client saw the opportunity to restore what once was a beautiful terrazzo entrance.

The vinyl adhesive was removed and the floor prepared ready for first grind.

After first grind any cracks were filled with matching resin and where possible coloured chippings ground down mixed in with the resin to give a better match.

Final grinding and polishing shows the beautiful colours and borders of the insitu terrazzo. The client was very happy with the finish and look.
